TORONTO SHOW LOOKING FOR SPONSOR

Meteor Show Productions Inc. of Toronto is preparing for its 2000 Toronto Wine and Cheese Show by looking for a corporate title sponsor for the event. Taking place March 24th through the 26th at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, the show, now entering its 17th year, is offering a major sponsorship for $50,000. Some features of the sponsorship are a free booth, 300 admission tickets, company sponsorship mentioned on all the show's print and radio advertising, a full page advertisement in the show's guide and company signs and banners placed in various locations throughout the show. Past sponsors of the event include Air Canada, Diners Club and Royal Bank. Ralph Weil, president of Meteor, said that first time sponsors usually commit for one year. Last year's event attracted an attendance of 30,000 adult consumers with no one under the age of 19 years being admitted. Advertising for the show is being handled in-house.
