SUBWAY MAKING NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION

Subway Restaurants of Milford, Connecticut is starting the new year with a new advertising campaign. The theme of the advertising will be "7 Under 6" and will be based on New Year's resolutions. Thirty and 15-second television spots in Canada and the U.S. will remind consumers how Subway offers a healthier alternative with its menu of seven low-fat subs with 6 grams of fat or less. The television spots begin airing in January and will tell customers the number of fat grams in various competitors' products, comparing those figures to the number of grams of fat in a Subway sandwich. The advertising continues by showing how many repetitions of one type of exercise it would take to burn off those extra fat grams. The campaign, from Publicis Hal Riney & Partners of Chicago, runs until mid-February.
