BELL EXPRESSVU LAUNCHES NEW VU! OF PAY-PER-VIEW

Toronto-based Bell ExpressVu has launched the largest pay-per-view service in Canada. Vu! is available to the direct broadcast satellite TV company's customers across Canada in both English and French. Vu! features 50 pay-per-view services, making it the largest PPV service currently offered in Canada. Programming will include: children's entertainment, foreign entertainment and commercial-free PPV movies and special events. Bell ExpressVu has already signed deals with major studios and with the launch of Vu!, subscribers will be able to access movies such as Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me, The Blair Witch Project, Patch Adams, The Mummy, Le Dernier Souffle and Histoires d'hiver. To promote the new pay-per-view service, Bell ExpressVu will integrate Vu! into its current "You're going to love TV again" advertising campaign from Cossette Communications and Blitz!, a Cossette division. The campaign, which broke in mid-September, is scheduled to run until the end of December. The advertising features television characters from past shows such as Jimmy Walker (Good Times), Charlene Tilton (Dallas) and Ron Pallilo (Welcome Back Kotter). Additional promotion of Vu! will be found in-stores with POS materials created by Capital C of Toronto.
