TD WATERHOUSE INVESTS IN NEW BRAND

Toronto-based TD Waterhouse Investor Services is living up to its promise to build a global brand with the launch of the company's most extensive marketing campaign to-date. The national advertising campaign is targeting English, French and Chinese markets using separate creative applications for each. A combination of television, print and Web-based advertising launched mid-October featuring the tagline "Invest for yourself, not by yourself." John See, vice chairman at TD Waterhouse Group Inc. said the objective of the advertising is to let Canadians know that, through the help of TD Waterhouse, they too can be that new breed of self-directed investor. TBWA Chiat/Day of Toronto produced the English campaign, Academie Ogilvy of Montreal managed the French and Can-Asian Advertising of Toronto handled the Chinese campaign.
