HUGGIES PERFORMS MAGIC WITH STARS AND FLOWERS

Kimberly-Clark Corporation of Irving, Texas, maker of Pull-Ups training pants, has introduced a new feature of the pants that is designed to give toddlers in the midst of toilet training encouragement to stay dry. The pants now include new "magic stars" and "magic flowers" designs that fade when wet. Anne Jones, associate marketing director for Pull-Ups, explained that Kimberly-Clark created Pull-Ups because mothers told them their top concern was to make toilet training easier. She added mothers want something that would keep their children interested in a process that takes an average of eight months. To promote that the new "magic stars" and "magic flowers" Pull-Ups are available in Canada, print advertising in English and French magazines will break on November 1. A television spot promoting the new designs is also being considered, but plans have not been confirmed. Advertising for Huggies Pull-Ups is handled by Ogilvy & Mather. Public relations are handled by Edelman Public Relations.
