MITSUBISHI LAUNCHES NEW CAMPAIGN FOR RE-DESIGNED ECLIPSE

Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America, Inc. based in Cypress, California has unveiled its re-designed 2000 Eclipse and the advertising campaign that will promote the sports coupe. The campaign will include print, television, Internet, outdoor, direct mail and point-of-sale materials. The budget for the campaign is $45 million and focuses on the "real" reasons people buy sports coupes. Created by Deutsch, Inc. of Los Angeles, the campaign started with a 15-second teaser television spot yesterday on national and cable television. Full 30-second commercials will break September 7. Print inserts will also appear in trade magazines, including Automobile, Car and Driver and Motor Trend and outdoor billboards and new POS materials and brochures will also support the re-designed Eclipse. Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America markets a full line of vehicles including coupes, convertibles, sedans and sports utility vehicles.
