CANADIAN HOME PLANNING UNDERGOING RENOVATIONS

Canadian Home Planning magazine is getting bigger. The physical size of the magazine is expanding horizontally. The national magazine, published semi-annually by Family Communications of Toronto, targets first-time home buyers. The magazine offers guidelines about decorating and smart shopping along with financial advice. "We're going to an oversize book for visual impact," Don Swinburne, publisher of Canadian Home Planning, said. "About an inch is being added to the width, which ensures more dramatic layout possibilities." Canadian Home Planning will accommodate its full-page advertisers when final film is not a match for the new format. The larger magazine, which is available on newsstands, through subscription and from banks and financial institutions, will make its debut with its next issue on October 15. The circulation of Canadian Home Planning is 100,000.
