BUCKLEY'S LAUNCHES NEW CLUB FOR FRIENDS

W.K. Buckley Limited of Mississauga, Ontario is launching the Friends of Buckley's Club to foster consumer loyalty to its cough and cold products. Members of the club are supposed to spread word about Buckley's products to friends and family. In return, they will receive product information and promotional materials such as buttons, tattoos and T-shirts that have the company's tagline "It tastes awful. And it works" printed on them. An "Ambassador of Bad Taste" program, an extension of the newly launched club, allows American members to request product samples and encourage friends and families to give Buckley's a try. The new club is being promoted on Buckley's website at <http://www.buckleys.com>. Buckley's is also getting ready for cough and cold season with a $2.1 million advertising campaign. Radio spots, print ads and a new television commercial will break in November and run until March. Advertising for Buckley's is done by Publicis SMW of Toronto.
