TOMMY HILFIGER AND VH1 CREATE FALL TELEVISION CAMPAIGN

Tommy Hilfiger and VH1, both of New York, are joining forces to continue Tommy Hilfiger's "Year of Music" campaign devoted to music-related endeavors. The two will work together to develop and create a series of music-themed television commercials that will break this fall. Three individual 30-second spots will highlight the styles of The Rolling Stones, Lenny Kravitz and Jewel. Each commercial will feature a variety of mixed-media images of the artists, their original music and voice-over narration by Tommy Hilfiger. Hilfiger will focus on the performers' styles as well as their influence on his designs. The Rolling Stones appeared in Hilfiger's spring 1999 print campaign, while Lenny Kravitz and Jewel appeared in his fall 1999 campaign for men and women. The three television commercials will begin in mid-September and run throughout the year. Tommy Hilfiger designs men's and women's sportswear, jeanswear and childrenswear under the Tommy Hilfiger trademarks. VH1 produces a variety of music-based series, specials, live events and acquisition-based programming. Advertising for Tommy Hilfiger in Canada is done by Impact Communications Marketing of Montreal.
