MOLSON AND CAS TRACKING FOOTPRINTS
By Adnews Staff
Moslon Breweries of Toronto and the CAS Canadian Aids Society of Ottawa are tracking footprints across the country. The brewery is the official sponsor of the AIDS Walk Canada national public awareness advertising campaign. The campaign is designed to raise awareness for the upcoming September 26 AIDS walk, which includes 110 walk sites across Canada. The CAS worked with advertising agency MacLaren McCann to create radio and television public service announcements promoting the walks, which for the first time this year, will include walks in all provinces and territories across Canada. The agency also created the logo for AIDS Walk Canada which features a footprint. The PSA's created this year will be running nationally until September 26. The actors were given one or two lines to say and then ad-libbed the rest on the spot, resulting in humorous commercials with a realistic and natural feel. The CAS is a coalition of AIDS service organizations. Molson has been sponsoring AIDS walks for the last ten years and was a founding sponsor of the AIDS Walk Canada campaign that was first launched in 1996.
