STARBUCKS GEARING UP FOR CHILDREN'S BOOK DRIVE
By Adnews Staff
Starbucks Coffee Company of Toronto is getting children in Back-to-School mode with the launch of its third annual All Books For Children book drive. The coffee company is supporting its book drive with in-store materials such as posters, brochures, buttons, bookmarks and counter cards as well as a full page print ad in the Globe & Mail and an ad and insert in the August issue of Toronto Life magazine. The drive, which runs from August 4 through to August 21, provides an opportunity for customers to donate books to help encourage kids to read. The Starbucks All Books for Children book drive distributes the donated books to literacy and library organizations who then distribute the books to children. The program is supported with book donations made by KidsCan Press, Scholastic Inc., Penguin Books and Annick Press. This year, in addition to Starbucks, donations can also be made at Ontario Chapters locations. Advertising for Starbucks in Eastern Canada is handled by Echo Advertising of Toronto. PR for Starbucks in Eastern Canada is handled by GCI Group of Toronto.
