VANCOUVER YELLOW PAGES DEBUT NEW TELUS LOOK
By Adnews Staff
The 1999 edition of the Yellow Pages for Vancouver and Burnaby, B.C. will be the first on the west coast to use the new TELUS name rather than BC TEL. The BC TEL name disappeared when that company merged with Alberta-based TELUS earlier this year. Another change with this edition is the splitting of the Yellow Pages into two separate volumes, A-L and M-Z, for the sake of easier handling. Other new features include Lower Mainland postal code listings, a home and garden guide, an Internet guide and a restaurant section that includes menus. The book also contains a guide to community services and events, street and public transit maps, and a coupon section. TELUS will distribute roughly 570,000 copies of this edition throughout the Vancouver and Burnaby regions, beginning this week.
