DRAFTWORLDWIDE PICKS UP HONG KONG AGENCY

DraftWorldwide of Chicago announced yesterday that it is acquiring Strategic Solutions, a Hong Kong-based advertising, direct marketing and sales promotion agency. The new acquisition will be merged into DraftWorldwide's existing Hong Kong office. Strategic's client list includes Charles Schwab, The Economist Group and the Hong Kong Tourist Association. DraftWorldwide's clients in the region include Bass Hotels and Resorts, Cable and Wireless HKT and Montblanc. "We are very pleased to have an opportunity to add a well regarded resource such as Strategic Solutions to our Hong Kong operation, which is our flagship office in Asia," said DraftWorldwide president and COO Jordan Rednor. "This reinforces our confidence in the local and regional economy and sets the stage for the expansion of our business in the area." DraftWorldwide has previously stated its intention to grow its operations in the Asia/Pacific region. It already has offices in China, Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand, with affiliates in Korea, Japan and Australia. DraftWorldwide is itself a unit of The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc.
