NEXTMEDIA CREATING SAFETY CAMPAIGN FOR YOUNG WORKERS
By Adnews Staff
The NextMedia Company Ltd. of Toronto has been hired to create a safety campaign for young workers. The province-wide campaign will urge young employees to be aware of occupational health and safety issues on the job. "Every years, young people are killed or badly injured while working in jobs that appear to be very safe. We hired NextMedia because they demonstrated a strong track record in reaching and motivating young people through innovative campaigns," executive director for the Industrial Accident Prevention Association Peter Nixon said. The effort, called the Young Workers Awareness Program, will be delivered to secondary school students in Ontario by the IAPA and the Workers Health and Safety Centre. The campaign will run from June through to August, building on the awareness created through the in-school program, and will include radio, transit, street posters and in-bar advertising across Ontario.
