TELUS REMINDING DRIVERS TO DRIVE SAFE

With the launch of National Wireless Safety Week, BCT.TELUS Mobility, which announced recently that it will operate nationally under the TELUS brand name, is reminding cellular telephone users of ten tips for the safe use of wireless phones while driving. As part of the safety week, TELUS Mobility will be distributing these tips through radio public service announcements and advertisements in Alberta and British Columbia. TELUS is involved in many ongoing safety initiatives and has joined forces with public safety organizations in both Alberta and British Columbia to establish several four-digit numbers motorists can call at no charge to report dangerous drivers, hazardous road conditions and collisions. National Wireless Safety Week is an industry-wide initiative running May 24 through May 30.
