OAKVILLE LAUNCHES NEW CORPORATE IDENTITY
By Adnews Staff
Located west of Toronto, The Town of Oakville has launched a new identity program, updating its previous town look used since the 1960s. The new identity will be used on town publications and materials as well as transit, public works and parks vehicles. Over the years the town has favoured the use of a crest or coat-of-arms which incorporates a historical design. The crest is accompanied by the word "Avancez", meaning "go forward". The new identity combines the traditional symbols of the past with a contemporary look. A circle represents the cycle of change. Also being updated are the town's corporate colors. The new colors are blue and ochre, a gold-tone that is already used on signage at the town hall. The new design is being phased in over time. A new town website is also in development. The new identity was created by Caro (Toronto) Inc.
