Toronto-based Envoy Communications Group Inc.'s New York subsidiary Hampel/Stefanides has been awarded the online advertising, media planning and placement business of Toshiba America Inc. of New York, an electronic and high-technology company. Geoff Genovese, Envoy president and CEO, said "[Clients] are looking for a fully integrated company that can communicate with one voice across all media. Envoy is well positioned to capitalize on this shift and is one of the few e-marketing companies able to build a website and then drive traffic to the virtual store, while building the brand using on- and off-line media." Envoy owns Devlin Technology, a Web developer and designer, and advertising agencies The Communique Group of Toronto and Hampel/Stefanides. The group has also recently announced it intends to purchase the Watt Design Group, a retail branding and package design company.
