NOVA SCOTIA POWER INTRODUCING CO DETECTORS
By Adnews Staff
Nova Scotia Power of Halifax is adding carbon monoxide detectors to its line of Comfort Smart, indoor air quality products. To promote the introduction of the CO detectors an advertising campaign, created by Nova Scotia Power's agency-of-record, Pulse Marketing of Halifax, features print, television, direct mail and possibly Web advertising. Breaking this month and again in the Fall, print ads will be seen province wide in daily newspapers. A television campaign will also run mid-September through November to promote the CO detectors. Customers of Nova Scotia Power are also being informed of the detectors through the company newsletter. CO detectors are designed to alert consumers of high levels of carbon monoxide gas through an alarm and digital readout. Common sources of the gas include: oil and gas furnaces, fireplaces, wood-stoves, propane stoves and engine exhaust fumes. The Comfort Smart CO detector, introduced Friday, by Nova Scotia Power, is manufactured by SENCO and are certified by the Underwriters' Laboratories of Canada, a safety, certification, testing, quality registration and standards development organization.
