Ian Letts and Michael Gelfand have joined Toronto-based Leo Burnett Co. Ltd. in the capacities of art director and copywriter, respectively. Both were previously with Palmer Jarvis DDB of Toronto. Joining the office as planners are Sarah Johnson and Heidi Philip. Johnson comes from TBWA Chiat/Day where she held the same position. Philip is returning to work after taking a sabbatical. New to the interactive department is Rob Long and Steve Cober. Long joins the agency as an account executive. He comes from Destiny Web Designs Inc., where he was senior project manager. Cober comes on board as an art director. Most recently he at Marketplace Digital Communications where he held the same position.
The Paint and Home Products Division of Home Hardware has announced two new appointments. Doug Parsons has been named sales and marketing manager and Jim Edwards has been named production manager. Parsons was most recently sales manager at Scythes, while Edwards comes from Cloverdale Paint Inc. where he was plant manager.
