URBAN OUTDOOR RE-GAINS HAMILTON TRANSIT ACCOUNT

Urban Outdoor Trans Ad of Toronto is handling ad sales for the transit system in Hamilton, Ont. once again. The agency had been representing the system for 20 years, until last summer when the account was given to Media Co. of Markham, Ont. An Urban Outdoor press release states that Media Co. did not fulfill the necessary conditions for the job, and as a result, the account went up for grabs again in late December. Urban Outdoor won the business after a competition with Pattison Outdoor of Toronto and Obie Media of Eugene, Oregon. Hamilton bus drivers were recently on strike for weeks because of a contract dispute. They were back on the job last week.
