NINTENDO RELEASES DINOSAUR HUNTING GAME

Japan-based Nintendo Corp. launched a new game to the worldwide market this week. Called Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, the game is for the Nintendo 64 game system. The dinosaur hunting game is a sequel to Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. To promote the game, Nintendo will launch a worldwide $9 million(US) marketing and PR campaign. In Canada, the campaign will use national TV ads on stations and shows targeting teens. In addition, there will be a French-language print campaign. The Canadian ads will be created by Leo Burnett Co. of Toronto. The GCI Group of Toronto is handling PR. Turok: Seeds of Evil was developed by Acclaim Entertainment of Glen Cove, New York.
