LOOK MOVES OUTSIDE ONTARIO
By Adnews Staff
Look Communications of Toronto expanded its wireless multipoint digital broadcast TV service outside Ontario this week for the first time. The service is now available in the greater Montreal area. Look allows customers to subscribe to a basis service package or customize their own channel packages. The basic package offers 30 audio channels, pay-per-view channels, the electronic program guide, the community channel, all English and French Canadian networks, the five major American networks and the more popular specialty channels. In addition, subscribers can customize their package by adding up to 20 additional specialty channels or opt for the entire set of 40 specialty channels. Look will promote the service using ads in daily and weekly newspapers, as well as direct mail. The campaign will be created by BOS of Montreal. PR will be handled by Opsis Communications & Marketing of Montreal. In addition, Look will set up kiosks in malls to educate the public about its technology. Look launched its wireless multipoint digital broadcast TV service in Southern and Eastern Ontario in the fall.
