EATON'S UNVEILS LOYALTY PROGRAM

The T. Eaton Co. Ltd. of Toronto is looking for loyal customers. The retailer has launched its Eaton's Rewards loyalty program. Under the plan, customers using either their Eaton's credit card or Eaton's Platinum credit card can receive reward dollars. Customers who spend between $100 and $249.99 before tax on the Eaton's card in a given month will receive $5 in reward dollars. The rewards will be sent to customers with their billing statements. Spending between $250 and $499.99 earns $10 reward dollars, spending between $500 and $749.99 will earn $15 reward dollars and customers spending between $750 and $999.99 dollars will earn $20. Spending $1,000 on the card in one month earns $50 reward dollars, as well as an immediate upgrade to the Eaton's Platinum card. The Platinum card can also be earned by spending at least $1,000 in a calendar year. This card provides additional benefits such as a 10% discount off regular and sale priced items during the cardholder's birthday week. As part of the launch of the cards and the reward program, customers using their cards through Oct. 31 will be automatically eligible to win one of 10 trips for two to New York. Eaton's will promote the program using in-store materials and print ads created by Roche Macaulay & Partners of Toronto and its subsidiary Lowe R&P Direct of Toronto. The retailer will also support the program on its Internet site. Radio and TV ads will be launched later in the fall.
