Eastman Kodak of Rochester, New York has hired Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide of New York to handle a new global corporate branding and marketing account with billings estimated to run from $35 million(US) to $50 million. The first is campaign is being launched early next year. O&M was the winner in a competition with BBDO Worldwide of New York, which resigned Polaroid Corporation's business to pitch for the Kodak account. Canadian Kodak officials were unavailable Friday to say whether all the advertising will come straight from the U.S. agency or if different offices will localize ads for their respective countries. O&M already handles the company's digital and applied imaging business. In Canada, Kodak uses several ad shops for its various products, three of which are Young & Rubicam Advertising, J. Walter Thompson and Mainstay Communications, all of Toronto. In the U.S., the company uses O&M, JWT, Y&R and Rumrill-Hoyt, all of New York.
