OXFAM PROMOTES BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS

Oxfam recently launched a print and poster campaign to remind people about the plight of human rights in third world countries. Each of the ads feature photos of apparently familiar news publications with headlines such as "Rwanda Lands First Man On Mars," "Ethiopia - Why Everyone Wants To Live There," and "Somalia - Will The Boom Ever Bust?" The tagline for each ad says: "Give people their basic human rights and they'll take it from there." The ads were created by Gee, Jeffery & Partners Advertising of Toronto. The campaign is part of an international effort by Oxfam to publicize the charter of 10 Basic Human Rights. Oxfam is an international development agency that aims to overcome poverty and social injustice.
