GILBEY TOUTS TEQUILA FOR FIRST TIME IN EIGHT YEARS
By Adnews Staff
Gilbey Canada of Toronto is promoting its Jose Cuervo Tequila product using media advertising for the first time in eight years. The campaign uses an outdoor wall mural and outdoor banners in Toronto. It may be expanded to other cities next summer. The campaign was created by Grybauskas-Beatrice of New York. PR is being done by Fleishman-Hillard of Toronto. The wall mural is 40 feet wide by 20 feet high. It features the Cuervo Lizard, which is 23 feet in length and has an eight foot retractable tongue. For the past eight years, Gilbey has been promoting the brand using in-restaurant ads and sponsorships. It decided to expand Cuervo's advertising because the company wants to reach a wider audience.
