PUBLICIS SMW GETS EXTRA BUSINESS FROM HMR
By Adnews Staff
Publicis SMW of Toronto picked up more business from Hoeschst Marion Roussel of Laval, Que. earlier this month. The agency will be handling advertising for the pharmaceutical company's new line of prescription asthma products that it is co-promoting with 3M Pharmaceuticals of London, Ont. The new drugs include Airomir, a bronchodilator and Q-Var, an anti-inflammatory. Both drugs have a CFC-free metered dose inhaler. Publicis SMW won the business after an informal competition with Hoeschst Marion Roussel's roster agencies. The agency has been working with the pharmaceutical company since 1978. It currently handles all of Hoeschst Marion's over-the-counter brands including Allegra, Nicorette and Nicoderm, as well as some prescription assignments.
