PUBLICATION TARGETS YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS
By Adnews Staff
Yes Canada-BC Publishing of Vancouver plans to launch a new national magazine in August targeting Canadian youth and focusing on career and labor market issues. Called Realm, Creating Work [You] Want, the magazine will interview young entrepreneurs, examine the stereotypes, myths and misunderstandings of the youth culture and offer a more realistic perspective, as well as discuss the everyday details of owning your own business. The hyperlinks section will help readers with information on career programs across the country, offer a list of the latest electronic and print resources for job searches, career/life planning and business start-up. Realm will be published four times a year and will have a circulation of 275,000, with 200,000 being available in English Canada and 75,000 being distributed in Quebec. The publication will be distributed through educational institutions and community agencies, as well as via newsstands and by subscription. In addition to the print version, Realm will have a Web site. The Web version will carry some content from the printed publication, and will feature youth market surveying and data collection, live online focus group testing and recruiting. Advertising sales for Realm will be handled by Magazine Network Inc. of Toronto.
