KELLOGG ADDS MARSHMALLOWS TO FROOT LOOPS

Kellogg Co. of Battle Creek, Michigan has given its Froot Loops cereal a kick. The cereal maker will introduce Marshmallow Blasted Froot Loops to the U.S. market over the next month, which is made of fruit-flavored cereal and marshmallows. The cereal will be promoted using TV and print ads, as well as sales promotion and PR. In addition, Kellogg sponsored the NASCAR race held earlier this month. The car promoting the cereal featured Toucan Sam, Froot Loops spokesbird. In Canada, Kellogg has no plans at this time to bring Marshmallow Blasted Froot Loops north of the border. Future plans were not ruled out. Canadian advertising for Kellogg is handled by Leo Burnett Co. of Toronto.
