U.S.-based Hewlett-Packard has unveiled a slew of new products and programs in North America that are aimed at commercial and small business customers. H-P will offer a new family of Omnibook notebook computers. Called the Omnibook 4100, the computer maker says the machine will be among the thinnest computers on the market, and will feature an Intel 266 MHz Pentium II processor and a choice of either a 14-inch or 13-inch color monitor. H-P will also release new Brio and Vectra PCs that will incorporate the latest Intel processor technology and will be available for under $1,000(US). The latest release of H-P TopTools is a Web browser-based PC-management program. It will allow information systems managers to search, select and group hundreds of PCs. The recently announced Starfish TrueSync CE software is for H-P's 620LX and 360LX palmtop PC users to exchange information and files between the Starfish REX card and the palmtop computers. In addition, H-P is offering a Kayak XW PC workstation that features 3D graphic performance. In Canada, advertising for H-P is done by Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising of Toronto.
