BASF GOES WITH ONE AGENCY

BASF Inc. of Toronto has consolidated its agrichemical business with one agency to improve efficiency. The company gave its account recently to Marketing Communications Inc. of London, Ont. The agency had the business in Eastern Canada for the past year, while Link Advertising of London, Ont. had the Western Canadian business. BASF reviewed both agencies before choosing Marketing Communications. BASF's agricultural products include crop protection products for wheat, canola, peas, flax and lentil producers in Western Canada, and corn, soybean and edible bean growers in Eastern Canada. The products are marketed under the names: Poast, Basagran, Banvel and Marksman.
