GLOBE PARTNERS WITH DOW JONES

Toronto-based Globe Information Services has teamed up with Dow Jones Interactive Publishing of Princeton, New Jersey to launch a joint online information service to Canadians. The service will be called InfoGlobe-Dow Jones Interactive. The Windows version will be available in June and the online version will be available later this year. The service will consist of current news from The Globe and Mail, the Wall Street Journal and its global editions, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Barron's and SmartMoney, as well as two newswires and other major newspapers. There will also be a library, offering a 20-year archive from all the newspapers available on the service, as well as 5,500 other publications. In addition, InfoGlobe will feature full-text reports from more than 400 investment analyst firms., as well as The Globe and Mail's Report on Business corporate data, fall financial information, as well as data and analysis on companies from Dun & Bradstreet. The Web version will also feature such things as InfoGlobe Online, a business news and information service provided to Canadian enterprises, GLOBEfund, a national mutual fund site, The Globe and Mail Web site and CareerConnect, a online jobs classified service. Globe Information Services is a data supplier, providing a corporate information database, the Report on Business Corporate Data and Canadian mutual fund data. Dow Jones Interactive Publishing is a division of Dow Jones & Co. It provides business information to corporations and consumers by computer, telephone, fax and radio.
