INFOINTERACTIVE MOVES WEST
By Adnews Staff
InfoInterActive of Halifax is heading west with its Internet Call Manager service. The company introduced the service in Manitoba late last month. ICM is a phone service that notifies Internet users of incoming calls and identifies the caller. Once notified, the ICM user can acknowledge the caller by clicking their mouse and selecting a pre-set message. Users can tell the caller they will call them back, tell the caller to call again or just tell the caller they're not answering the phone. ICM does plan to promote the service in Manitoba, but wouldn't give any details. When it launched the service in other provinces, it has supported ICM with ads in computer publications and online ads. Advertising for InfoInterActive is done by Image Design of Halifax, while media placement is done in-house. InfoInterActive is currently in negotiations to bring ICM into Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. It has also just finished testing the service in a U.S. market, but wouldn't give any details on when the service will be there. ICM moved into New Brunswick last November. It was originally launched in Nova Scotia last April, then expanded into Ontario and Quebec last June.
