WIRE GETS EXTRA BUSINESS FROM SOUTHEX

Southex Exhibitions of Toronto has given more of its business to Wire Communications of Toronto. The agency was chosen recently to handle PR for four Southex trade shows: Logistics, Truckcan, Expocam and Graphics Canada. Wire won the business after a competition with one agency. "We searched for an agency that demonstrated a fresh approach to our communications strategy," show manager Chris Seeney says in a release. "Wire Communications already has a firm understanding of the Southex philosophy and our corporate objectives toward marketing and promotions through their work with our Toronto-based home shows. Their addition to our team is a natural fit." Wire already handles radio promotions for Southex's Metro, Fall and National Home Shows. The incumbent on the four trade shows was Karl Eichner & Associates of Toronto. Logistics '98 highlights the various equipment, technology and services involved in the movement, storage and control of products and materials. Truckcan is dedicated to the trucking industry. ExpoCam is the French equivalent to Truckcan. Graphics Canada is a showcase for the graphic arts industry.
