POLAND TO BAN WEEKEND AND HOLIDAY ADS
By Adnews Staff
The National Council of Radio and Television of Warsaw may ban commercials from weekend and holiday TV broadcasts, and has proposed that the percentage of total airtime for public broadcasters be reduced from 15% to 10%. If the moves are approved, Poland public broadcaster, TVP, will likely air movies and other prime commercial shows during the week. Private station Polsat, who's ratings are a bit higher than TVP, will likely benefit from the legislation.
