PANASONIC TO COOL OFF IN COMPACT STYLE

Panasonic Canada of Mississauga, Ont. will help Canadians keep their cool this summer. The company will introduce two air conditioners in May. Called the CW-C60RK and CW-C50RK, the air conditioners have three cooling speeds and two fan-only speeds. Both models are compact in size, and will fit into most windows. Each offers precise environmental control to lower energy bills. Both feature an economy operation mode, which automatically stops the fan whenever the compressor stops. Other features include one-touch air filter removal for easy cleaning and quiet operation due to a dual-cavity design that muffles compressor and vibration noise. Panasonic officials were unavailable to comment on advertising plans for the air conditioners. Advertising for Panasonic is done by TBWA Chiat/Day of Toronto. Panasonic Canada is a division of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co.
