In Canada, the dolls will be supported with TV ads on YTV Canada. The ads will be created by Ogilvy & Mather of Toronto. In addition, viewers of the specialty channel will have a chance to win a skating party in their hometown with professional figure skater Jennifer Robinson. To qualify, entrants must submit a hand-drawn picture of Barbie in a skating outfit. the contest will be promoted by YTV's on-air personalities following the ads for the new dolls. The contest closes March 13, with the winner being selected on March 16. The GCI Group of Toronto is handling PR for the dolls' launch and the contest.
