Quizno's Corp. of Denver plans to open over 650 restaurants across Canada in the next five to ten years, and may hire an agency once it has a significant number of locations, U.S. marketing senior vice-president Sue Hoover told Adnews yesterday. Currently, Quizno's operates 10 locations in the Vancouver area. The company plans to open two more B.C. outlets later this week. Quizno's plans to open restaurants in Toronto in about four months. In the U.S., advertising is mainly handled locally through each franchise, using flyers and local radio promotions. Next month, Quizno's will launch its first-ever national TV campaign in the U.S. The ads will be aired in Vancouver as well. The campaign will be created by Morey Mahoney of Denver. Quizno's is an Italian-style deli.
