CANADIAN CAMPAIGN GOES INTERNATIONAL

Another Canadian-made TV campaign is getting international recognition. Kraft Canada's angel concept for its Philadelphia Cream Cheese brand is now being used in Germany. Australia and the U.S. have also showed interest in the concept. The angel spots for Philadelphia Cream Cheese have been airing in Canada since 1994. The latest commercial features an Angel at Niagara Falls confessing to the camera that she loves only Philly. The confession offends God, who, with the crack of thunder, turns off the falls. The commercial was created by J. Walter Thompson of Toronto. It began airing last fall. This is the second campaign this year that has reached across borders. Kellogg Canada's most recent TV campaign for its Special K brand will begin airing in the U.S. next month. It is already running in England and Denmark has expressed interest in launching the ads there. The campaign has been airing in Canada since last fall. The ads were created by Leo Burnett Co. of Toronto.
