TIFFANY ENHANCES READY-MADE OFFERINGS

Tiffany Gate Foods has expanded its product line. The company introduced a new line of 18 ready-made fresh foods in Ontario late last year called Gourmet Window. The product is available in three different categories: Mediterranean, Oriental and Authentique, which features European cuisine. Gourmet Window is being promoted using ads in magazines such as Toronto Life. The company is currently planning a schedule in other consumer magazines as well. Advertising for Tiffany Gate Foods is done by the Retail Communications Group of Toronto. Gourmet Window products feature a freshness advisor label which is dark gray and light gray in color. When the food has been on the shelf too long, the light gray portion of the label will turn dark gray. Gourmet Window is available in Ontario in Loblaws and Valu-Mart outlets, as well as at independent grocery stores. Until now, Tiffany Gate Foods sold ready-made food, such as salads, in the deli section of grocery stores.
