Melanie Farrell has been promoted from national language sales assistant manager to business development language sales director at CFMT TV. CFMT is a division of Rogers Broadcasting of Toronto. Paul Newcombe has joined Linmor Technologies of Ottawa as sales and marketing vice-president. Most recently he was general manager at Corporate Software & Technology Canada Ltd.
The Canadian Association of Broadcast Representatives has added two new members to its board for 1998. Michael Cansick of Canvideo Television Sales and Suzanne Carpenter of YTV Canada have been elected TV directors. Paul Cooke has been named president of Labatt USA. Previously he was marketing vice-president of Labatt Brewring Co. Ltd. of Toronto.
