DISCOVERY CHANNEL WANTS VIEWERS TO DO IT

This week Discovery Channel kicked-off its second annual "You View It, You Do It" sweepstakes. The contest, which runs until January 29, promotes the channel's Wild Discovery lineup of animal programs. Viewers watching the shows Behaving Like Animals, Danger in the Sea, Animal Tracks, Kingdoms of Survival and Animal Planet will have the opportunity to enter the contest by calling a 1-800 number when it appears on-screen. The grand prize winner will choose one of four trips to remote and exotic destinations: Africa's Ngorongoro Crater, the Galapagos Islands, Alaska or Morocco. Second prize is a 1998 Subaru Outback. Six hundred instant-win prizes will also be awarded. The sweepstakes is being promoted with ads in the Discovery Channel program guide and TV Guide magazine, cable bill stuffers, on-air promos and Internet ads.
