STARBUCKS PICKS SOME REGIONAL AGENCIES

Last month, Starbucks Coffee Company of Seattle picked Toronto-based Echo Advertising & Marketing Inc. to act as its agency in the Eastern Canada region. Echo will handle local store marketing and advertising for that region and consult on national strategy. Also, GCI Group of Toronto has been hired to do public relations in the Eastern Canada region. Grey Advertising of Vancouver has been selected to handle advertising, marketing and public relations duties in the Western Canada region. The hunt goes on to find agencies to handle local marketing in other regions of the country. Previously, Starbucks has used creative from its agency of record, Goodby Silverstien & Partners of San Francisco.
