RRSP BOND TO BE AVAILABLE FOR SECOND YEAR

Canada Investment and Savings will launch its Canada RRSP Bond next month. The product will be available from Jan. 26 to April 1. It will be promoted in a poster campaign on skilifts at major Canadian ski resorts, as well as through a postcard campaign. In addition, the bond will be promoted during the Great Canadian Inventions radio vignette. Advertising for Canada Investment and Savings is done by Vickers & Benson Advertising of Toronto. The organization will also sponsor the Canadian National Snowboard team, which is currently in qualification trials for the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. The team will wear Canada RRSP bond logos on their uniforms and appear at CI&S events. CI&S will sponsor the Japan Selection events at Nakiska and the Calgary Olympic Park in Alberta from Jan. 5 to 9. This is the second year CI&S has launched the RRSP Bond. Geared to retail buyers, the bond features guaranteed annual interest rates with annual cashability on the anniversary of issue.
