APPLE SWITCHES PR AGENCIES
By Adnews Staff
Apple Canada of Markham, Ont. has given the PR portion of its account to Atkins & Ellis of Toronto. The agency won the business without a review. Apple had contacted the agency a few months ago and hired A&E to handle some business for the computer maker on a project basis. "They have the in-depth knowledge of both our core markets and products, as well as superior understanding of the Canadian technology marketplace.," corporate communications director Dennis Manning says in a release. A&E's Quebec partner, ScienceTech of Montreal, will handle French language PR. The incumbent on the business was National Public Relations of Toronto. The agency had the business for over 10 years. Advertising for Apple in Canada is done by TBWA Chiat/Day of Toronto.
