METRO WORKS HIGHLIGHTS NEED TO RECYCLE RIGID ALUMINUM

Metro Works is telling Torontonians what rigid aluminum is while trying to encourage them to recycle it. The Toronto municipal department launched a campaign recently using radio, newspapers and subway posters. The newspaper ads and subway posters feature different foods that come packaged in rigid aluminum. Arrows tell the reader that rigid aluminum belongs in the blue box while the food is to be consumed. The radio spots attempt to give the impression that people don't know what to do with rigid aluminum. Tart tins are used to convince non-believers of extra-terrestrial visits while a pie plate is used as a discus by an athlete. In the end the listener is reminded that rigid aluminum is put to better use when it's recycled. The campaign was created by Ranscombe & Co. of Toronto. Metro Works is a municipal department responsible for such things as recycling and snow removal.
