HP RELEASES COMMERCIAL PRINTERS

U.S.-based Hewlett-Packard introduced a new family of commercial printers this week to the North American market. Called the HP LaserJet 4000, the color printers can print 17 pages-per-minute at 1,200 dots-per-inch. There are four printers in the line. The machines replace the Laserjet 5 and 5M printers.

Separately, HP will launch a North American ad campaign later this month for its imaging products such as digital cameras and printers. The campaign targets consumers using TV. It was created by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco.
