DOUBLECLICK MOVES NORTH

DoubleClick Inc. of New York opened a Canadian office this week in Toronto. Called DoubleClick Canada Network, the Internet advertising network will feature Web sites designed to help Canadian advertisers build one-to-one relationships with their customers on the Web. The Canadian sites in the DoubleClick network include TV Ontario and Atlantic TravelNet. DoubleClick Canada will offer Canadian marketers its ad targeting technology called DART. It includes reports for advertisers that are updated and accessible online 24-hours-a-day. Other services include TestIt!, a program designed for testing banner creative within 48 hours; Spotlight, a service for tracking user activity beyond the banner and Clickboosters, for automated placement of banners on those Web site pages most likely to generate the highest response rates. By the end of the year, DoubleClick will be operating in 10 countries.
