NEW BOARD AT CAB

The Canadian Association of Broadcasters has elected its 1997/98 board. CHUM Ltd. industry affairs vice-president Duff Roman has been named chair for his second term. WIC Television president and CEO James Macdonald will be chair of the Television Board. Last year he was Television vice-chair. Cogeco Radio-Television vice-president Michel Carter will continue as Television vice-chair, which he was elected into part way through the 1996/97 term. Radio Board chair will be Claude Beaudoin, Telemedia Communications broadcasting division president. Radiocorp president Jim MacLeod has been elected Radio vice-chair, while Okanagan Radio Ltd. programming vice-president Erin Petrie will continue as treasurer. Immediate pastchair is Bruce Cowie, Baton Broadcasting executive vice-president and COO. Michael McCabe is CAB's president and CEO.
