NBTEL TAKES DIRECTORY ASSISTANCE ONLINE

NBTel of New Brunswick launched an electronic version of its directory assistance service this week. Called PowerPages, the directory allows customers to lookup business, residential and provincial government telephone numbers, addresses, fax listings, as well as e-mail and Internet addresses for free. The site will be updated every 12 hours to give customers the most current information available. In addition, NBTel plans to enhance its services shortly in order to allow customers to initiate calls from their computers and search listings beyond New Brunswick. The services will be promoted beginning in a couple of weeks using direct mail and bill stuffers. Bailey's Backroom Boys of Toronto is handling the campaign.
